I understand the the # symbol before a word or phrase designates a specific Twitter page, right? But I'm seeing people stick a # before all sorts of stuff now.

Not exactly. It's more of a self-defined keyword called a hashtag. So if I put #Frydaze1 in a tweet, it will be searchable by that keyword. And can be grouped with anything else with that keyword.


Frydaze1 <--- also isn't a twit, but had to learn a little out of self-defense.
