It probably varies depending on the subject, but I took 2 online classes this past winter. I could stop anywhere in the 5-6 sections of each lesson and post questions in a "question" area, read other students' questions to see if my question had been asked and answered, communicate with the rest of the class. Each lesson had links to additional information.It wasn't expensive and was very convenient. We could email the instructor directly, as well. It was a good experience overall. This was an instructor with a lot of experience teaching this way, so I'm sure that made a difference (as opposed to a traditional teacher who wasn't used to on-line instruction). cm |
