You mean you didn't weed or till under the weeds? Just mowed and planted? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ yes. that is what I did. not the way I grew up on the farm to do, but it sure works. rye is pretty tough. during the summer I squirted round up on just bitter sweet, poison ivy and Russian olive. it has been two weeks now and the stuff is now up over 8 inches. except of course where the deer are sampling it. And amazing enough the white clover is growing under it as well. |
