well when my daddy got diagnosed with brain cancer the oncologist said the tumor was too big, only option was cobalt treatment to shrink it for a little quality of life. Wasn't touted as a cure, just some more time and I asked him how long and he said about a yr. and that's what happened. Daddy at first didn't want to have it done, then changed his mind and at the end of it, he thanked the doctor so much, I'd never seen him express himself that it's an individual thing.
