at our local VA hospital in Saginaw. I went in last week and asked them waht they needed most. They need afternoon escort folks. Get yer minds out of the gutter.
The hospital was built in stages with no master plan as they added things. It's a maze. You'd need a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way back too.
So when someone comes in and needs to go to Physical Therapy (for example) I'll escort them from the front desk to their destination and escort them back when they're done. If they need to go to X-Ray from PT (for example), I'd do that too.
It'll get me out of the house and make me feel useful. I'll be hanging around "my people," so to speak, and giving back. These guys took a bullet so I didn't have to.
I consider it an honor to do this. I get to serve once again.
