There are no stocks that "are safe to park your cash in." Period.
Stocks are stocks and cash is cash. The stock market can take a nose dive at any time, taking your "cash" with it. Though it's true that some companies stock prices have a beta of less than one, stock prices fluctuate, sometimes erratically and unpredictably. If you must follow this kind of strategy pick a stock like General Mills.
