You may think this is a good thing, but they will have less money to spend per year and thus harm the economy.

Having less money to spend harms the economy. Therefore having more money to spend helps the economy. The only conclusion I can draw from this is that the best thing for government to do would be to send annual checks to everyone to spend!

I wonder why every government doesn't do this and improve their economy???

I agree, especially since money is just something that rains down from the heavens right into the government's treasury instead of having to take money out of the private economy in order to spend it.
