The top 2% percent of income tax payers, roughly those making over $250K, pay about 44% of the income tax in this country. Think about it - is that fair? I think not

Then perhaps you're not thinking very deeply or hard. If you accept that an income tax is appropriate at all, it's self evident that it's dollars that are taxed, not individuals. Personifying taxes, as if taxes are designed to punish people for achievement, is dysfunctional thinking.

It's also ironic that you would quote me and completely ignore the most important word in the sentence:

" ...raise taxes on the wealthy which should lead to the perception of a fairer and more cooperative society."
