Personally I prefer ordinary people with simple tastes. I guess your idea of "simple" are products that have a long ingredient list, come from 20th century factories, and aren't easy to replicate by the home cook - in the case of Twinkies and Velvetta. To me, that's complicated compared to pastery and cheeses that can be handmade and were long before the industrial revolution. Funny - because every place else on TMF people have been saying they'd be sad to see Twinkies go due to nostalgia - and not due to it being a tasty product. Guess some on this board like to double fist them if it's hit a nerve. |
