http://www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20121119/NEWS/311190... >U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said today he is ready to violate the “no new taxes” pledge he and most Republican lawmakers made to Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, to cut a deal that will keep the country from going off the so-called fiscal cliff around the first of next year. “I signed it in 2002, and I’m not signing any more pledges,” Graham told GreenvilleOnline.com. “I’m just going to take an oath to the Constitution. I ain’t signing no more pledges.”< It's a start. Now we need an avalanche and the road back to relevancy can begin for the GOP. Grover has been a millstone around the GOP's neck and a lesson to both parties about the folly of absolutism. |
