jaonsfi,

Most often, the clinical trial results are 'announced' with a presentation at the next major conference in the field after the conclusion of the trial. Most medical conferences have late breaking clinical sessions. So, if a company is developing an cancer treatment, look for ASCO or another meeting as the time when the results might be announced. If cardiovascular, then American Heart, etc. A company won't wait a year for this 'buzz' but there is usually some meeting within a few months time that is worth presenting at.
