Really, why is this a big deal? This translates to $2.50 per paycheck for someone getting paid every 2 weeks. Companies will likely pass this down to their employees, and $2.50 is not even the cost of a Starbucks or 2 bags of Cheetoes from the snack machine.
No company is going to go out of business over this particular fee, and most employees aren't going to see a tremendous impact (remember: a lot of low-paid people, like Wal-Mart workers, are told to apply for Medicaid anyway....).
And please don't ignore the other part of this, that it decreases and phases out after a couple of years. If you're going to tell the story, tell the whole story.
Seriously, this is why we will not ever solve our problems here in America.
IT is nothing, it makes no difference. It is only small
It is just temporary and will go away
Seriously? Have you been in a coma for the last 40 years? Think about where we are, think about how we got there.
Here is a question to ask yourself, when they are imposing all these different things, why do they nickle and dime, rather than a straightforward easy to justify cost versus benefit tax?
You are being played for a sucker, which I really would not care about at all, you might be among those who enjoy it. But your lack of any desire to see what is going on impacts me.
Please, stop it and wake up
