NBC/WSJ poll says 53% think both sides share equal responsibility for the deadlock.
That means over half the electorate can't be bothered to learn enough about what is at stake to make an informed opinion. People like that get the government they deserve, and they have received full measure.
It took a deprsssion and a war to shake Americans out of the lethargy of the seventy years of plutocratic conrol of America following the Civil War.
Maybe it is too late now for anything to work.
