McRib is back for another temp run according to TV ads.

If you notice, Mickey D uses McRib to boost its quarterly sales. It brings in additional traffic. Plus a comparison of pork and beef prices suggests it also boosts margins.

But keeping McRib on the menu is said to cause this repeat effect to wear out. Hence, its a temp item they bring back (for a few months, "while supplies last") abt once per year.

I predict McDonald's will meet or exceed its numbers for the quarter.
