I didn't know about boatswain... Aha! Talking 'bout bo'suns. I stand corrected on 4 of those. Very interesting! But Seuss is a name, not a word, and I don't think it belongs there. How weird, though, that the entire world says SUE-ss. I've never heard it pronounced otherwise. You'd think that Zoice himself would have spoken up and made his voice heard. I'm sure he could have done one of his inimitable rhymes about the (mis)pronunciation issue. sheila |
