I've never deducted this, but it just occurred to me to ask. For example, I have my investments with Vanguard in stock and bond mutual funds, each of which has an annual expense ratio. Is there any way I can deduct the amount of the expense ratios for these mutual funds? Thanks.

No. The funds expenses are deducted by the fund before you see a dividend.
