A lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 8 am EST
* lake effect snow showers will continue through tonight.
* Snowfall rates of one-half to one inch per hour are possible
locally. Winds will begin to shift to the west overnight and
push heavier snowfall into northern portions of Antrim and
Otsego counties. Snowfall amounts will vary widely... ranging
from around 3 to locally up to 6 inches possible by daybreak
Two nights ago we got an Alberta clipper passing through which dumped about 2.5 inches of snow here in Chicago, which makes it the biggest snow of the season so far, amazingly.
Tonight through tomorrow we're expecting an even bigger snowstorm, from yet another Alberta clipper. This one is expected to dump about 2 to 4 inches of snow in the city.
