What small mammals have become extinct? Our aggravating cat only seems to drag up squirrels and voles (a type of mole), and there doesn't seem to be any shortage of those species.

We keep expecting her to be eaten by a coyote, since apparently coyotes are pretty quick to gobble up cats.

I don't know which species may have been exterminated by cats. I haven't done sufficient research. Suffice it to say, cats are pretty darn good killers...but not as good as coyotes.

In my previous neighborhood, we had lots of rabbits...until coyotes moved in. Each week, when I mowed the lawn, I'd find the scattered remains of rabbits. Within just one year, all the rabbits disappeared. The coyotes then moved on. (This was in a fairly densely populated suburban environment). As a biologist, I find all this interesting.
