You mean that the free market will adjust as needed? 8-) It is already beginning to make significant changes. Look up "medical tourism" and it is a huge and booming business--but only for doctors and hospitals located outside the US. US insurance companies are very slowly beginning to use--and even very actively encourage--people who need some types of expensive (but fairly routine) surgery to get it done overseas. Insurance company covers everything--plane fare, visas, medical care, whatever--and savings of $100+k/patient are readily available. |
