No, no and no... I agree it would be tough to do this in an emergency, but with some planning it is very possible. If you have a backup generator at your home, it is usually wired not to power everything, but the essentials such as furnace, freezer, refrigerator, and some lighting. Most hospital rooms have a few red outlets for essentials. Planning for an emergency generator could cover at least the basics. And that is much better than "nothing can be done." |
