their coffee was hotter than can be consumed by a human. At 190F you are well beyond scalding. That simply isn't reasonable
According to this website, most people like their coffee at 175 degrees or more. 190 isn't far from that, and it seems 15 degrees is a reasonable cooling allowance since customers don't drink it the instant they get it from the McDonald's counter.
Knives are sharp and coffee is hot, folks. Life sure is dangerous isn't it? Hey, here's an idea: lets just blame somebody else when we aren't careful.
