This could be interesting... flying passenger planes in and out of a tight little airport like Friedman in Hailey Idaho, nestled in a very narrow valley with Bald Mountain at one end.
After a few jets plow into the hillsides, the invisible hand of capitalism will fix the air routes.....I predict lots of detours to Boise and no more night flights..
I suppose many small rural airports will simply have to fund their own airport towers if they want air traffic. No more Uncle Sugar watching out for the elites flying into Aspen, Vail, Sun Valley, Marthas Vineyard, and scads of others.
The savings from closing half the regional airports will be huge. No expense for TSA, FAA, CBP... I like it.
