Wait a minute. We spent, thus far, $1 Trillion dollars to invade Iraq - a war that was based on lies and forgeries - and a war that was opposed by the American people...
Plus, we are going to spend another $2 to $3 Trillion on the wounded, the veterans and interest...
and we don't have $300 grand to run the Tower of a Kansas airport?
Question: Where was this sequestration when we were invading Iraq?
That is a good question.
Another good question: Where was this sequestration thingy when our government was sending $12 billion in cash to Iraq, on pallets of $100 bills on C-130 Cargo planes and then have $8.8 Billion vanish!
According to CNBC: Federal Reserve Shipped Billions to Iraq Which Were Then Stolen...
In a 13 month period from May 2003 to June 2004, the Federal Reserve sent nearly $12 billion in cash, mainly in $100 bills from the United States to Iraq. To do that, the Federal Reserve Bank in New York had to pack 281 million individual bills... onto wooden pallets to be shipped to Iraq. The cash weighed more than 363 tons and was loaded onto C-130 cargo planes to be flown into Baghdad...
...the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction, found that more than $8.8 billion in such funds could not be properly accounted for....
