I purchased sdow and spxu a long time ago. Everytime I want to sell them, my wife naggs at me to keep them because the market is going to crash. The market as done nothing but go up and my losts have incresed greatly. I have started to debated about selling them all or selling maybe 25% so that I can cover the losses by year end. If I have a large loss for the year and make more money later, I will only be able to offset $3,000 of losses against gains. I will end up paying taxes on money that I am only recovering. What are your thoughts??? Thanks for your input, eugenet95648 |
