I don't believe that follows.

The researchers used fMRI to monitor subject brains. It was clear from the results that decisions were made long (in relation to how fast a brain functions) before the cognitive centers lit up. There have been a few threads on this board about it. Or maybe it was on CvE. In any event, the brain responded to the stimulus (i.e. decided) much faster than the cognitive areas came up with a "decision".

I suspect learning and experience can mold the stimulus responses (I don't recall that as part of the studies), but we really don't think about anything when deciding. We just fool ourselves into thinking we do.
