Cheaper electricity and lower CO2 emissions per capita. But few people advocate following the French model.
Never let it be said that 'common sense' get in the way of ideology...
French electricity is cheaper only because the French government owns and operates the heavily subsidised electrical power generation in France. Their nuclear fleet is getting old and they may shutdown many reactors without building new ones.
It really makes me laugh when climate change deniers and sceptics advocate for lower CO2 emissions.
