I second MetroChick. If you've got the ability, just pay it off. If they are not applying payments correctly, and are reporting you as delinquent, this loan is hurting your score, not helping it. - lamalluv | Date: 3/13/2013 10:12:51 AM | Number: 306866

If they are incorrectly applying payments send them a letter, remind them of the Federal Fair Credit and Reporting Act and their obligations under that Act. If they file an adverse report with ANY of the National Credit Reporting Agencies write them a brief, to-the-point document files with the appropriate United States Federal District Court. -- If you win, you will be awarded damages from the loan servicer as well as the Credit Reporting Agency.
