Nuclear is great, so long as you don't bother calculating in the risk costs.
That is exactly what happened, the Japanese engineers at Fukushima ignored the once in a 1000 year scale undersea earthquake and resulting tsunami. I'm assuming you are aware that the nuclear power plants had virtually nothing to do with the massive death toll at Fukushima? They certainly did add a lot of drama for the news people after.
Methinks nuclear power can and will for the most part be done safely and people who insist on wrongly blaming nuclear power for mother nature's depredations on the Japanese coast will find new causes to complain about.
