Well, in our case we paid the entire cost of tuition for both my children at private 4 year colleges. This was a gift that my husband and I decided to give them.
They are both nearly 40 years of age and one could say that they are successful in their careers and in their personal lives.
They know how much we did for them and they are very grateful.
They have paid us back by being good human beings, good children, good wives and fantastic mothers to our grandchildren.
The way I see it, we got paid back in spades!
