I actually worked longer hours in high school and college than I did once I started working full time.

I had the same experience. Working full time was like a vacation after 4 years of college. It did have more stringent hours, though.

I guess I knew people must really go to that 'miami in ohio' college, but I always thought it was trying to snow you with that name when I got the brochures in high school. Why would I go to a miami in ohio when I could just go to miami?

My parents took out loans and I took out loans. I assumed it was the same here. I agree the 30k at 800 a month for 20 years thing sounds fishy. I've been running car payment calculators for the last month and that sounds more like a car payment.
