Long story short, my mother had Parkinson's. The nurse practitioner and doctor had Mama on 13 different medications, when her problem was Parkinson's. Had the nurse practitioner or the doctor referred Mama to a neurologist

My father had a problem that turned out to be Parkinson's. He went to all sorts of specialists including a neurologist in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nobody had a clue. He went to Mayo Clinic & they had him properly diagnosed & prescribed levodopa medication within 48 hours.

Doctors are like mechanics some are very fine diagnostic geniuses; others haven't a clue with the majority somewhere between the two poles.
