<Last week's prediction was: "Bottom line: Another good week for risk assets".
Equities fell by about 2%.>
The Control Panel provides a METAR.
Like weather reporters, I can only report the statistics from my instrumentation. I don't have a crystal ball any more than weather reporters had long-range radar before satellites. Even with the satellites, the weather reports are often uncertain. The purpose of the Macro Economic Trends and Risks Board (METAR) is for members to gather international economic information from many sources to try to provide long-term insight that helps predict the future of the markets.
You are new to the METAR board. All METAR regulars understand that a Control Panel report and my interpretation are a weather report -- the best guess based on past results with the same pattern of indicators. It's somewhat trend-following but always in the Macro economic context.
Of course, it is LOADED with uncertainty!!!!
Welcome to METAR, Zzorac. Please feel free to add substantive information that the rest of us can use. Belay the sniping. That's not what METAR is about. Don't waste our mental bandwidth.
