The kicker is "per credit hour". It's possible to take one or maybe two classes per semester for less than $270. But, $62/credit hour works our to $744/semester when taking 4 three-hour classes. A two-year Associates degree clocks in around $1500/year, probably more because you'd need 5 clsses per semester.

Still it's much better to get a cheap two years' worth of classes in before heading off to a four-year college to finish off the last two years.
