Other than the example you cite (Sirius) after randomly reviewing the 10-year financials of 30 to 40 companies I only found one example where a company's net earnings exceeded operating earnings in any given year, and then only by a few cents

All told, a CapitalIQ screen pulls over 1,000 entries that report higher net earnings than cash from operations over the past 4 quarters. Some of them look like funds, but a quick scan suggests a huge chunk are 'real' companies in there, including:

Goldman Sachs:
Illinois Tool Works:
Deere & Company:
