I'm not sure if you misunderstand me or if I misunderstand you. I'm all for the big picture, no doubt about it. Pollution is a simple idea to grasp: it's poison. London and LA among others had to take measures to combat it. I don't need to understand the math behind SMOG. SMOG is a simple investing idea.
Not so interest rates, they are very complicated and while there is an inverse correlation between stocks and rates, the length of your post and analysis shows just how complicated the whole thing is. As I said at the start of my post, it's too complex for me. That's not to say it can't be useful for others.
I'm just trying to apply KISS to my investing. ;)
