Are there many open houses on holiday weekends?
Most buyers with children want to get moved by the time school starts. By Labor Day that segment should be out of the market.
But you can find sellers who over priced their homes and did not get it sold. Now they are looking at a long winter unless they find a buyer. Maybe they can be a bit more flexible on terms.
Of course first time home buyers and empty nesters can make a deal and move any time.
Holidays make for free time for some. Those interested in finding something will sometimes find time to make the rounds of open houses.
