* sigh *
After decades of using pockets, I finally dipped a toe into the fashion world by buying a very nice Coach handbag. Which apparently signalled to the powers that be that Coach is now common, and therefore passe:
Next potential step: swapping my beloved turtlenecks for the ubiquitous any-neckline-except-turtleneck-then-add-a-scarf look. I'm convinced that will be the death knell for scarves.
You know, I'm not even aiming for high fashion. Just pulled-together, and kind of preppy, would be fine. However, LBYM message to self: don't bother, just stick with the Mom jeans, sneakers, and turtlenecks.
Because which is worse:
- Frumpy, which implies above it all, but really just doesn't look good, or
- Wearing yesterday's trends, which looks like I tried and failed?
