I'm wondering that even without a job that she may be able to get a secured credit card in her own name. As others will advise you, it can be risky to add a child to your credit account (and doesn't help their own history).

My understanding is that for a secured card, you deposit a specific amount of money (say $500) and can use the card up to the available balance. It won't work if you try to go over. But this can be helpful for people trying to build credit history (unlike those debit cards which don't).

If she has a bank account, it may be something to check into.
