I think I know what you mean. I'd say go with what you like.
I can't seem to even do yesterday's trends, seeing as yesterday's trends included shrunken blazers, 3/4 sleeve shirts and wide-leg cropped pants, so it looks like I have to do either Frumpy or Marching To A Different Drummer.
I am going to try and pass off the midi skirts as the latest trend from NYC. If that doesn't work, at least the world doesn't have to look at my knees.
My turtlenecks will be staying, because I can't seem to deal with scarves.
The jeans are cowgirl jeans or nondescript below-the-waist jeans rather than mom jeans b/c mom jeans are invariably baggy in the seat.
But I am still looking for a good pair of low-heeled short boots that I can wear with a good pair of pants. Already have the very practical snow boots, but once in a while I want to dress up.
