Perfectly acceptable to take out loans for med school if you are 22.
Or loans to be an engineer or whatever at 18.
Because odds are you will have a decent income and plenty of time to pay them off.
But it's ridiculous to take out large loans at a late age for a career field where one will make little money at age 60, as the moron in the article did.
