UPDATE 1-China to sign deals for more than $4 bln US goods Wed Apr 5, 2006 5:45 PM ET (Adds details)
WASHINGTON, April 5 (Reuters) - Chinese companies will sign contracts in Los Angeles on Thursday to purchases more than $4 billion worth of U.S. electronics, autos, software and other goods, the Chinese government said on Wednesday.
The signings, announced in a statement made available in Washington, come just a few weeks before Chinese President Hu Jintao meets with U.S. President George W. Bush at the White House. Concerns about Chinese barriers to U.S. exports are expected to be high on the agenda for the April 20 meeting.
The biggest of the 27 deals is for $1 billion with Flextronics (FLEX.O: Quote, Profile, Research), which helps automotive, industrial, medical and technology companies design and build electronics products...

FLEX shares had been weak until just recently, the last several days have shown some surprising strength! Perhaps news of this possible contract signing is responsible?
