A homeowner typically has maintenance responsibilites that a renter avoids.I'll agree with just about all of your points if you're only talking about an 'apartment' renter. There's a huge lifestyle difference between an apartment and a house though -- I believe that (for me) the potential additional costs of a single-family dwelling are offset by the nicer lifestyle benefits.When you're talking about living in a house, I don't see any real advantage to renting verses buying.
