A lot depends on how badly you want to get rid of the car. For some folks, to sell it so that you can get rid of the payments would be enough, even if you are getting a below market price. If that is the case, then you may want to take it to Carmax. While they do not pay top dollar for the car, they will give you an on the spot quote that is based on the car, not how much they think they can rip you off.

If you do try to private party sell it, here in the Washington DC area I have noticed that some folks are still buying premium cars.
