PBS had a pair of articles on Iceland's volcanoes. The eruption under Eyjafjallajökull ("glacier of Eyjafjöll") in 2010 was scary, but a relative firecracker as volcanoes go. The article says that a Laki eruption could last for months, spewing ash and sulphuric acid all over the northern hemisphere. Laki last erupted in 1783 to 1784. causing deaths not only in Iceland, but in Europe. The article said that such an eruption would interact with our home-grown air pollution with devastating effects.Caveat: Beware of science by TV, even PBS.Count Upp
