There are some very wise (and WISER) Fools out there. The discussion has been fantastic. So talk to the women in your life – your mother, sister, friends, and secretary. Tell them to ask for a raise, a pension, and job training so they can move up that ladder.

The Census Bureau recently released numbers that say that in 1999, working women earned only $0.72 for each dollar men earn. And, although women have been entering the workforce in record numbers, we are still not getting those jobs with the big, fat pensions, or even any pension, for that matter. Women are also much more likely to work part-time. That's why our numbers are different than Pixy's – we look at all women working, Pixy looked at women working full-time.

We talk to a lot of women (and men) who are looking for basic information on how to take charge of their long-term financial security - and they are eager to get started. The more the word gets out, the better off we will all be.
