Rather than suggesting "how about book xyz?" Why not just write

"I am going to begin reading book xyz next Tuesday. I hope to begin discussing at least the early chapters by the following Tuesday. And the reason I am reading this book is..."

That way we will actually have someone reading a book rather than just making suggestions.

I would also suggest you make the Name and Author of the book the subject of your post, and then the discussion can just follow down that thread.

By the way, with a three month old, I am currently reading "What to Expect the First Year" by Arlene Eisenberg, Heidi E. Murkoff, Sandee Eisenberg Hathaway. I am also reading "The Face Of Battle" by John Keegan. Neither of these is fiction or poetry so I won't bother to suggest you join me in these. When I move on to another book I will post what it is if I have not joined one of you in your books.
