To you all -

I had the opportunity to enjoy a visit with someone's brother recently. The reason for sharing the story is because this bachelor engineer (and to my layperson's eyes might well be diagnosed with Asperger's S in this day and age).

We were warned that we'd be sleeping on the floor. And I was aware that I didn't want to be a demanding nor disruptive guest. We had a wonderful time. I appreciated my host's careful explanations of the water filter and the towels.

My host took the time also to share a little story, saying that he tells his college students "I probably don't know your names. I haven't got the political gene. I may know your name in 4 or 6 weeks."

As I understand it, this brother (60 now) has acquired a great deal of social polish in the past 8 years or so. Certainly, he was able to play the role of host quite convincingly.
