We make one or two big cross country trips every year, so we have AAA for a little extra security. (We've had to use it, not fun.)Yesterday, we found out that our Optometrist just began offering a AAA discount. 30% off exams and complete pairs of glasses, 15% off replacement lenses, and 10% off of contact lenses. We get reimbursed for a fairly generous amount in vision expenses by our supplemental benefit, but we have to pay in full and then wait to get that check back. And since Gary needed new frames (the joys of parenting a toddler!) and I had another prescription change, we saved ourselves (and our insurance) about three years worth of AAA membership premiums.
