Activations backlog? What needs to get done to activate after a signup, what is it Shift actually does and what costs is there to providing it, any idea. Are they supplying hardware or are they basically installing software similar to Skype?

Is Skype not a valid solution to implement instead. I haven't used it yet as its not compatible with my 98 O/S(Guess I could put it into my gf's laptop sometime), but a few WebApp members have and seem to like it a lot.
