Actually discussions on an anonymous board is nearly as bad. It is possible, sometimes just from a post to determine who you really actually are. Government Agencies the CIA, FBI, NSA, DIA, as well as Law Enforcement Agencies have that capability as do people trained by those agencies as well. While this is good advice, someone I have "just met" has actually, well, met me and knows who I am. I'm positive that a well-trained, well-connected person with certain types of clearances could do the same, yes, from a message board. However, I am relatively convinced that those individuals are currently concerned with their own doings and have no need to track down random strangers to see if they can determine their credit card debt.
